The Demolition of 909 Dillard St.

The demolition of the Marshall’s house at 909 Dillard St. began Tuesday morning on August 17th, 2006 with a two-man demolition crew provided by the City of Greensboro. The destruction was phased in multiple sections, beginning with the back end and forwarding to the front. With patience, the crew gently allowed for the entire house to fall to pieces.

Parked on the side of the road, Mr. & Mrs. Marshall experienced their home of 50 years being torn down. After witnessing the Marshall’s presence at the demolition, one can only imagine the emotions of losing a home. In honor, we, the Department of Interior Architecture, feel privileged to be working with such a brave and high-spirited couple.
